Boys by Girls - Swedish summer memoirs



Eyes shut. Summer sun beats down caressing his skin, and Boj at MP Stockholm is delayed in perfect tranquillity. A soft breeze prickles gooseflesh on his bare skin and long shadows cast dancing patterns across his exposed chest. A story for only his eyes. This is summer – it’s finally here. This is his complete, content happiness, and the memories of it are eternalised by Stockholm based photographer, Kira Blaker, his vibrant personality reflected in luminous citrus tones. 
Idle thoughts meander through his hands, running over the high grass that tickles his fingertips. These sombre moments rarely captured, pure ecstasy and elation in this singular second. Drifting in the passing wind. Beads of sweat form where his hat meets his dark straw-like hair, dry from the humid air and over-exposure to the sun, anticipating the moment of entering icy waters. Dipping a toe into the gentle waves, a sharp shiver consumes him and refreshes his mind.
Blissful summer days that last a lifetime hold a longing in the heart, a yearning for simplicity such as this again. These are the days that were left behind, recognised only by our youthful counterparts. Suspended in memories, floating through like a dream, supported by the surrounding water that moulds and reacts to his every movement. Sat among the warm Swedish countryside, this is where he is home.
